Common mistake

Listing north, south, next to, or every facility in turn creates a location inventory rather than an account of the overall transformation.

• Whether before and after states are clear
• Whether the overview captures the largest change
• Whether details are grouped by area or change type

Compress both maps into a before-and-after statement

Before writing details, complete one judgement: what was the original main function, what replaced it, and which area changed most. For example, “A village dominated by farmland became a residential area, while the road system expanded eastward.” This is the overview skeleton; it does not need every entrance, tree, or building location.

• After: the overall direction of redevelopment
• Largest change: the area with the most concentrated transformation

Group body paragraphs by area or change type

If the north gains housing, roads, and parking together, keep those connected changes in one paragraph; use the other for southern features that remained, disappeared, or changed use. Another valid grouping is additions and expansions versus removals and replacements. Location language should place selected changes, not decide which details deserve inclusion.
