IELTS Task 2 transport topic prompts often fail not because of missing ideas, but because commuters, city budgets, and travel choices is not turned into a scorable paragraph chain.

Diagnostic evidence: measures have no cost

If every policy is only beneficial and has no budget, access, or fairness issue, the position looks immature.

How to break down this topic

Ask whether the core issue is congestion, pollution, public spending, or individual freedom.

What to revise after checking

Turn one transport claim into policy -> commuter choice -> city outcome.

Risk: only listing transport modes

More buses, trains, and taxes cannot explain lower congestion without behaviour change.

Task Response
IELTS Task Response 的核心是完整回应命令词、保持清楚一致的立场，并把观点展开到可以评估，观点数量是其次。先拆出题目要求与对象，再检查 thesis、段落主旨、理由、例子和结果是否共同回答问题。引用原文定位遗漏或薄弱链条，把最主要的一处改成下一版可验证的段落重写目标，并记录前后证据。
Task 2 examples
Task 2 的例子要和 claim、reason、consequence 连在一起，才能支撑论证。例子出现了，还要说明它怎样支持前一句推理。
Environment topic
IELTS Task 2 environment topic 常卡在 government、individual、company 的责任还要拆清。先诊断责任链再重写。
Public transport investment
公共交通投资题不要只写 more buses。先诊断预算、服务质量和 commuter choice。先问：钱花在速度、覆盖、票价还是安全？不同目标对应不同结果。
City congestion car use
城市拥堵和私家车题要先诊断限制政策、个人自由和可替代出行方式。检查重点：限制对象是否明确、替代方案是否真实、公平性是否处理。只说 ban cars，却不处理没有替代交通的人。
Transport no mechanism
示范 transport essay 只写政府多投资为什么不够，以及如何补上通勤行为变化。检查重点：服务改善是否具体、通勤者是否改变选择、拥堵结果是否可解释。
Urbanisation topic
IELTS Task 2 urbanisation topic 容易泛写 big cities。先诊断人口迁移、住房、就业和公共服务压力。
Work topic
